The magic of ARTIKA cases

ARTIKA editions are unique in every respect: from concept to content to presentation. The cases for our creations are also more than just a way to protect the books inside, serving instead as exclusive sculptures and designs that reflect the artist’s style as well.

All ARTIKA projects culminate in the design and creation of our cases. These are pieces with an artistic value all their own, which serve the dual purpose of protecting the art books and displaying them.

At ARTIKA we want each piece we produce to have its own personality. This includes everything from the development of the idea, working together with the artist as well as with experts and museums, to the choice of materials.

For example, the sculpture-case used for Gaudi Up Close, features paint that recreates the texture of a stone wall. The design’s signature touch is the exact replica of one of La Pedrera’s chimneys: the iconic “warrior”, reproduced especially for the occasion.

The box that contains Vía Crucis provides an open window into Botero’s work through a methacrylate screen. The artist’s signature, embossed on the side of the box, represents one of the central themes in his work: volume.

The inside of The Dreams of Frida Kahlo is hidden behind one of the artist’s characteristic self-portraits, shrouded in a veil of wooden leaves. This design, which both reveals and conceals Frida’s face, is an invitation to discover more about one of the icons of 20th-century art.

An ARTIKA edition is much more than just a book. With a simple glance at the outside of one of our editions, anyone interested in art knows that they are looking at an exclusive piece that forms part of the legacy of an internationally renowned artist.

An ARTIKA case is a trademark that sets us apart, a result made possible by a meticulous, handcrafted finish. This is the quality that defines the way we work: a passion for detail.
