Artika shines at FIG Bilbao

Artika deslumbra en el FIG de Bilbao | Artika

From 19th to 22nd November, Bilbao hosted one of the most important events for all lovers of art and culture: the 4th International Festival of Engraving and Art on Paper (FIG Bilbao). The Euskalduna Palace was the venue for more than 300 artists, both national and international, and 62 galleries. Some 18,000 visitors came to look, comment and purchase important graphic works by renowned artists such as Barceló, Picasso and Chillida, as well as others by unknown artists and young people whose talent has not yet been discovered.

Together with great artists, gallery owners, collectors and leading figures from the world of art and culture, Artika took part by presenting its new artist’s books. The publishing company exhibited some of its very latest works, including Vincent’s gaze, on Van Gogh, and Jaume Plensa’s 58, both of which captivated the festival’s visitors.

But Artika not only appeared at FIG, it also took part in Bilbao Architecture Art and Interior Design (BAAI), a fair that forms part of the activities of Bilbao Bizkaia Dweek. In this exhibition, several of the publisher’s creations were combined with different spaces that created a perfect dialogue between design, architecture and art.

The company’s presence at this event proved to be a great success, and even though many of the visitors were interested in its latest creations, above all, Artika sparked public interest as a hallmark. During its 12 years of existence, the company has impressed the world of publishing by the exclusivity and the painstaking execution of its works, all of which are published in limited, numbered editions.
