(1853-1890) The Dutch painter became, without knowing it, one of the main exponents of post-impressionism. Essentially self-taught, throughout his career he produced around 900 works, creating almost compulsively.
However, the quality of his work was not recognized until after his death, becoming, at present, one of the great masters of art history. His most intimate vision is captured in his sketchbooks and letters that he sent to his brother Théo, a central figure in Vincent’s life.
