In the intimacy of his Monte Carlo studio, the art of Fernando Botero was born, a unique and unmistakable style that has made the Colombian master the volume painter and sculptor par excellence and one of the most valued contemporary artists on the international scene.
ARTIKA pays tribute to him with Botero’s Women, an artist’s book dedicated to one of the author’s most recurrent themes: the female figure. A unique edition, created in collaboration with Fernando Botero.
A unique edition, numbered and limited to 2,998 copies, created in collaboration with Fernando Botero himself.
The work is presented in a sculpture-case, designed with a slight relief in honor of his characteristic style, and which reproduces a detail of the painting Cabeza (2006). The two volumes inside the case, when joined together, form the same image.
And the Book of Studies, which delves into the work of the master, getting to understand the scope of a universal painter by the hand of the Professor of Art History Lourdes Cirlot.
