A unique, numbered and limited jewel that brings us closer to the most intimate Van Gogh, to his thoughts, his dreams and his secrets. The possibility of contemplating the work of the famous painter from his own eyes, as the artist himself lived and felt it.
ARTIKA, in collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, presents a selection of intimate letters that the Dutch painter sent to his brother Theo with drawings, sketches of works, artistic explanations and personal experiences.
Vincent Van Gogh guides us and explains his own work through this limited edition of 2,998 copies.
A large-format book, bound with aluminum covers and steel rings, contains a reproduction of the 50 drawings that accompanied the correspondence between the artist and his brother.
The work is accompanied by a book of studies containing a facsimile reproduction of the 35 complete letters, printed in their original form and presented in tracing paper envelopes so that they can be extracted and appreciated. Each letter has been translated and analyzed by leading Van Gogh experts.
