Miquel Barceló

Miquel Barceló

(1957) His passion for continual experimentation and his inexhaustible energy have meant that 40 years after his career began, the artist continues to surprise. Barceló became interested in art at a very young age, thanks to his mother, a painter who belonged to the Majorcan landscape tradition. Subsequently, Barceló went on to experiment with art movements like Art Brut and Action Painting, influenced by Jackson Pollock and other similar artists. Finally, the self-taught artist ended up finding his own artistic path based on neo-Expressionism.
